Elsewhere, Katsina United and Bayelsa United played out a 1-1 stalemate, while Niger Tornadoes earned a convincing 2-0 win over El Kanemi Warriors.
Ikorodu City and Shooting Stars played out a goalless draw in Ibadan while Rivers United secured three crucial points as they defeated table toppers, Remo Stars to reduce the gap between them to five points.
These results highlighted the ongoing battle for survival, as clubs near the relegation zone are locked in a fierce contest to avoid the drop, while mid-table sides are keen to finish the season on a positive note.
