The Nigeria Premier Football League table continues to change hands weekly as Remo Stars and Rivers United look like the two genuine contenders.
Remo Stars reclaimed top spot in the standings with a convincing 2-0 win over El-Kanemi Warriors at home, thanks to goals from Peter Onuoha and Franck Mawuena.
This victory takes Remo Stars to 29 points from 16 games.
Meanwhile, reigning champions Rangers extended their unbeaten streak to 10 games with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Rivers United, courtesy of Collins Ugwueze’s 15th-minute strike. Rangers now occupy third place with 27 points.
In another notable result, Bayelsa United ended Ikorodu City’s unbeaten run with a narrow 1-0 victory at the Samson Siasia Stadium.
