This victory takes Remo Stars to 29 points from 16 games.
Meanwhile, reigning champions Rangers extended their unbeaten streak to 10 games with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Rivers United, courtesy of Collins Ugwueze’s 15th-minute strike. Rangers now occupy third place with 27 points.
In another notable result, Bayelsa United ended Ikorodu City’s unbeaten run with a narrow 1-0 victory at the Samson Siasia Stadium.
