Atalanta’s Chief Executive Officer, Antonio Percassi has opened up on Ademola Lookman’s intention to leave the club.
Ademola Lookman, the reigning African Footballer of the Year handed in a transfee request on Sunday, August 3, 2025.
Lookman put out a statement on his official X page as he accused the club of “blocking” his move to Inter Milan.
Atalanta rejected Inter Milan’s second bid for the 27-year-old forward as it falls below the €50 million prize tag.
Meanwhile, Antonio Percassi has revealed that the player will only be allowed to leave on two conditions:
“The pact with Lookman was made one year ago when we rejected €20m from PSG”.
“We told him: we’ll let you leave in 2025 for a super top club and not in Italy. Now, the situation [with Inter] is different… and as always, it’s us deciding”.
Ademola Lookman has indicated his intention to leave Bergamo since the end of last season after helping the club qualify for the Champions League with 15 goals and five assists.
