Victor Osimhen is expected to be fit for the highly anticipated Istanbul derby between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce on Monday, December 1st, despite returning from international duty this week with a hamstring problem.
The 26-year-old striker was flown back to Turkey after sustaining the injury during Nigeria’s World Cup play-off final. Galatasaray confirmed on Wednesday that he has already started intensive treatment for a moderate muscle strain and associated bleeding.

While Osimhen is expected to miss Saturday’s domestic clash with Gençlerbirliği as a precaution, confidence is high that he will feature in the title-race showdown.
Turkish journalist Yakup Cinar hinted at the club’s optimistic outlook: “He will play in the Fenerbahce Derby. Osimhen MRI scan was performed… his condition will improve. There’s no reason to worry.”
His availability, even from the bench, would be a major psychological boost for Galatasaray in the crucial Super Lig fixture.
