Victor Osimhen is expected to go under the knife following the arm injury he sustained against Liverpool on Wednesday night in the round of 16 second leg tie at Anfield.
Osimhen got injured in the 10th minute following a challenge from Liverpool’s centre back Ibrahima Konate.
The striker had his right hand bandaged and played through pain in the first half before he came off for Leroy Sane at the start of the second half.
According to a statement from Galatasaray, Osimhen will undergo surgery in Liverpool with the supervision of the team’s medical staff.
Osimhen is also expected to be in Nigeria, as Galatasaray goes on a five-day break, allowing him to recover from the injury.
Victor Osimhen had an impressive run with the Turkish champions in this season’s UEFA Champions League scoring seven goals and three assists in 10 matches.
