Fenerbahce president Ali Koc has sparked debate by claiming that Victor Osimhen, on loan at rivals Galatasaray, is too talented for the Turkish Super Lig.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray from Napoli in September after a permanent transfer failed to materialize.
The Nigerian striker has been prolific, netting 33 goals across all competitions. Galatasaray are eager to secure a permanent deal at the season’s end.

Koc, however, insists Osimhen’s caliber surpasses the Turkish league. “Osimhen is a special player and a player above Turkey,” Koc told TRT Spor.
“That player (Osimhen) is in a different category. He also comes once in 40 years.
“There is talk about whether he will stay or not. Accounts, books, taxes, agreements… If it is done according to the rules, there will be no room for a spending limit!”

Koc also suggested Galatasaray’s signing of Osimhen was a stroke of fortune, citing their rivals’ timely need for a striker.
Osimhen’s future remains the topic of debate, with clubs across Europe keen on the red-hot forward, but fans of Galatasaray will hope their club can somehow find a way to keep the 26-year-old.
