Chelsea struck early. Cole Palmer’s eighth-minute shot deflected just wide off Lucas Beraldo. PSG hit back, but Marc Cucurella’s vital tackle stopped Achraf Hakimi from capitalizing on Désiré Doué’s pass.
Enzo Maresca’s tactics overwhelmed PSG, with Palmer scoring twice in eight minutes—first from Malo Gusto’s pass, then after a stunning solo run.
João Pedro sealed the win, chipping Gianluigi Donnarumma after Palmer’s assist.PSG, shell-shocked, couldn’t respond. Robert Sánchez’s reflex saves denied Ousmane Dembélé and Vitinha, while Donnarumma parried Liam Delap’s fierce shot.
PSG’s hopes faded when João Neves was sent off for pulling Cucurella’s hair with six minutes left. Chelsea’s intensity outmatched PSG, who had knocked out Liverpool and Arsenal in the Champions League.
Following their May UEFA Conference League win, Maresca’s side claimed another trophy and over £100m in total earnings.
