Parma head coach Carlos Cuesta celebrated his first Serie A victory in charge as his side edged Torino 2-1 at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
Forward Mateo Pellegrino was the hero, scoring both goals to hand the Gialloblu a much-needed boost after a difficult start to the season.
Prior to this win, Parma had struggled for results, recording draws against Cremonese and Atalanta, alongside defeats to Juventus and Cagliari. A Coppa Italia penalty shootout win over Spezia had been their only recent success.

Torino controlled much of the possession, but it was Pellegrino who broke the deadlock from the penalty spot in the 36th minute, giving Parma a crucial first-half lead. The visitors responded early in the second half, with Saul Coco setting up Cyril Ngonge for a spectacular long-range strike in the 50th minute.
However, Parma regained the lead when Emanuele Valeri delivered a pinpoint corner for Pellegrino to head home at close range. Despite Torino’s late efforts to equalize, Cuesta’s side held on for their first league victory of the season.
Lazio Cruise Past Genoa with Clinical Display
Lazio continued their strong start to the Serie A season with a convincing 3-0 win over Genoa at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium. Youngster Matteo Cancellieri opened the scoring with a composed finish, curling a through ball from Taty Castellanos around goalkeeper Nicola Leali into the top corner.
Genoa responded well, creating a few half-chances in the first half, but Lazio struck again before the break. Castellanos linked up with Adam Marusic to double the lead, though Marusic soon had to be replaced due to injury. Genoa’s attempts to pull one back were thwarted by Lazio goalkeeper Provedel, who made a series of crucial saves.

In the second half, Genoa were denied a potential penalty after a VAR review overturned the initial decision. Lazio sealed the win in the 65th minute when Mattia Zaccagni finished off a scramble following a Luca Pellegrini free-kick.
The result left Genoa frustrated and exposed defensively, while Lazio took all three points in convincing fashion.
