Chelsea has reportedly entered the transfer race for highly-rated Nigeria U-20 forward Sani Suleiman, setting up a battle with London rivals Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the January window.
The 19-year-old attacker has significantly raised his profile across Europe since his move to Slovak club AS Trenčín from Akwa United in July 2024.
His positive performances for the Flying Eagles at the 2025 World Cup in Chile are also noted as a key factor sparking interest from top clubs.

Intense European Interest
Tottenham Hotspur reportedly made initial inquiries about the player before Chelsea officially joined the pursuit.
The competition doesn’t end there, as other major European sides, including French champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Dutch giants Ajax, have also been linked with the Flying Eagles star in recent weeks.
A source close to the player confirms that the stage is set for a move this winter.
“I can tell you everything is set for Sani to move in the January window. I don’t think he’ll remain at Trenčín until the summer because a lot of clubs want him,” the source told Footy-Africa.
“The Chelsea interest is genuine, but they’re not alone. Tottenham Hotspur also made inquiries before Chelsea came in.”
The young forward is expected to make a decision on his next club before the close of the January transfer window.
