Newly-promoted Premier League side Burnley are reportedly interested in signing red-hot Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare, this summer, ahead of the new football season.
Arokodare has been linked to a move away from Racing Genk after an impressive performance last season in the Belgian Jupiler League last season.
According to The Telegraph UK, Burnley’s coach, Scott Parker, is looking to add a goalscorer to his team, and he is also monitoring Premier players with expired contracts.
However, Tolu Arokodare is a preferred option for the Clarets, who return to the Premier League after finishing second in the English Championship last season.
The 24-year-old striker had a season to remember last campaign as he finished top scorer of the Belgian Jupiler League with 21 goals in 40 matches. He also scored twice in five matches in the Belgian Cup.
Arokodare also had an impressive outing with the Super Eagles as he scored his first goal for the team in the 1-1friendly against Russia in Moscow last month.
Tolu Arokodare has returned to Genk for pre-season as he continues to weigh his options before the start of the new season.
Genk reportedly values Arokodare at £25 million, with his contract set to expire in two years.
