Fulham’s European ambitions took another hit as Everton battled back to secure a 3-1 victory at Craven Cottage, handing former coach Marco Silva his seventh loss in 11 games.
Unlike the previous two goalless draws between these sides at Craven Cottage, Raul Jiménez broke the deadlock with a powerful header on 17 minutes.
Fulham dominated possession, with Harry Wilson and Alex Iwobi threatening, and Jiménez nearly doubled the lead from Emile Smith-Rowe’s fine cross.
Everton, despite limited first-half threat, equalized just before the break. A long throw led to Vitaliy Mykolenko’s low shot deflecting past Bernd Leno.
Early in the second half, Wilson’s clever attempt forced a full-stretch save from Jordan Pickford as Fulham pushed to regain the lead.
However, Everton stunned the home crowd with two quick goals. Michael Keane headed in unmarked with 20 minutes left, and moments later, Beto capitalized on a swift break to slot past Leno.
