Arsenal Cruise in Derby Rout as Liverpool Leave It Late in Eventful Premier League Sunday

Sunday’s Premier League fixtures delivered everything from stoppage-time tension to derby-day fireworks, as Arsenal ran riot in North London, Liverpool left it late at the City Ground, while Crystal Palace and Fulham secured valuable victories with significant implications across the table.

Crystal Palace claimed a vital three points at Selhurst Park with a late-deciding goal to edge out Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0.

The decisive moment arrived in the closing stages when Evann Guessand found the net, sparking wild celebrations among the home support. Palace, under mounting pressure in the relegation battle, showed resilience throughout but were forced to wait until the final moments to break the deadlock.

Wolves, reduced to ten men after Ladislav Krejcí’s second yellow card just past the hour mark, struggled to capitalise on numerical parity and saw their chances slip as Palace held firm to secure the narrow victory.

Nottingham Forest 0-1 Liverpool

Liverpool secured a dramatic late win at the City Ground, edging Nottingham Forest 1-0 thanks to a stoppage-time strike from Alexis Mac Allister.

After a largely uninspired performance from the visitors, Mac Allister’s finish in the 97th minute broke Forest resistance and rescued all three points for Jurgen Klopp’s side. Liverpool’s attacking play had been blunt for much of the afternoon, and it was only in the final moments that they managed to find a decisive breakthrough.

Forest, who largely dominated early proceedings, were left to rue missed opportunities in a match they had targeted as critical in their fight against relegation.

Sunderland 1-3 Fulham

Fulham continued their solid resurgence in the Premier League with a convincing 3-1 victory away at Sunderland.

Raúl Jiménez was the catalyst for the Cottagers, scoring twice, including a penalty  to steer his side ahead before halftime. Sunderland pulled one back through a spot kick from Enzo Le Fée but could not muster sustained pressure to alter the outcome.

Alex Iwobi added gloss to the final score with a well-taken goal late in the second half, underlining Fulham’s growing confidence and efficiency in front of goal this season.

Tottenham Hotspur 1-4 Arsenal

In one of the standout results of the day, Arsenal delivered a powerful statement in the Premier League title race with a 4-1 demolition of Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Eberechi Eze was the star of the show, scoring twice and inflicting early derby anguish on Spurs. Arsenal dominated across the pitch, with Viktor Gyökeres also finding the net to extend his season tally. Tottenham managed a brief response through Randal Kolo Muani, but the visitors’ clinical edge ensured the result was never in doubt.

The victory not only stretched Arsenal’s lead at the top of the table but also served as a blow to Tottenham’s efforts to climb clear of the relegation zone.
