The match takes place today at the Allianz Arena in Munich, with PSG looking to win the trophy for the first time and Inter Milan seeking to add to their three previous titles.
Simon, who plays for Ligue 1 club Nantes, believes a PSG win would be a victory for the entire country.
“Of course, being in the final is not new for them; it is their plan. I hope they would win it. This will not be just for them; it would be for France as well,” Simon told Flashscore.
“PSG have all it takes to beat Inter Milan. I have played against them; they have quality players.”
A strong showing from PSG could also impact the Ballon d’Or race, with Ousmane Dembélé hoping a win would boost his chances over Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal.
