Nigeria Premier Football League veteran Rabiu Alli was the hero of the day as Kano Pillars secured a late winner for Kano Pillars over Bendel Insurance away from home.

Despite creating chances to win the match, it was Kano Pillars who secured maximum points at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium on Saturday.

It was a game of two halves as both side had chances to score before Rabiu Alli’s late goal.

While Bendel Insurance dominated the first half with 3 shots on target, the second half was quite close but the Masu Gida were slightly better.

Kano Pillars had 2 shots on target in the second half white the home side created none as the visitors tried to break the deadlock.

Eventually, the opportunity to break the deadlock came on the 97th minute after a Bendel Insurance player made contact the ball in his box.
