In a thrilling encounter at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, fans were treated to a dramatic 2-2 draw as Remo Stars mounted a remarkable second-half comeback to snatch a point.
Lobi Stars started the game with intensity and purpose, taking control of possession and pressing high up the pitch. Their early dominance paid off in the 35th minute when Johnmark Aule gave them the lead.
The hosts doubled their advantage three minutes before halftime, as Onyekachi Okafor beat the Remo Stars goalkeeper from the penalty spot to make it 2-0.
However, Remo Stars emerged from the break with renewed determination. Their efforts were rewarded in the 56th minute when a goal from Hadi Haruna brought them back into the game.
The goal sparked a shift in momentum, with Remo Stars growing in confidence and putting the Lobi Stars defense under sustained pressure.
The equalizer came in the 70th minute, courtesy of Joseph Abah, stunning the home crowd and completing the comeback.
Despite both sides pushing for a late winner, neither could find the decisive goal, and the match ended with honors even.
