AS Roma Women have confirmed the signing of Super Falcons forward Rinsola Babajide.
The Nigerian international joins the Italian club on a permanent deal as a free agent, following her departure from Spanish side UDG Tenerife after the expiration of her contract.

The announcement comes while Babajide is away on international duty with Nigeria at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), where she has already made a strong impression.
Since switching her international allegiance from England, Babajide made her debut for the Super Falcons in October 2023 and has quickly become an important figure in the squad. In her WAFCON debut, she scored and provided an assist in Nigeria’s 3–0 win over Tunisia.
Babajide brings a wealth of experience to AS Roma, having played previously for Liverpool and Real Betis before joining Tenerife. Her 2024–25 season with Tenerife was particularly impressive, where she scored 10 goals and registered 5 assists in 26 appearances across all competitions.

She is expected to join the Roma squad ahead of the new Serie A Femminile campaign and will be integrated into the team as either a starting winger or a high-impact option off the bench.
In the meantime, all eyes remain on Babajide as she continues to represent Nigeria at WAFCON, with hopes of helping the Super Falcons advance deep into the tournament.
