Rivers United sealed a win away at Plateau United in a rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League match at the New Jos Stadium.
The Pride of Rivers came from a goal down to secure maximum points in a keenly contested tie between the sides.
Silas Nenrot put the hosts ahead in the 20th minute as he calmly slotted the ball into back of the net off a header from Gafar Saka.
Plateau United dominated the first half as the visitors struggled to find their rhythm.
Ani Henry kept Rivers United in the tie as made a made a close range save to deny Silas Nenrot from doubling the scoreline before he first-half break.
Plateau United continued to pile pressure on Rivers United on resumption of the second half but it was the visitor’s scored the second goal of the game.
David Sholumade grabbed the equalizer less than 10 minutes into start of the second half .
Gafar Saka missed a glorious chance to put Plateau United back into the lead but the 22-year-old midfielder missed a sitter.
Rivers United’s confidence grew after the miss S they had a goal-bound shot saved by John Amah.
The keenly-contested tie ended in heartbreak for the hosts as Rivers United snatched the win in the third minute of added time.
The win extended Rivers United’s unbeaten run away from home to seven matches in the league as they are yet to lose on the road this season.
Rivers United are also level on points-30 with league leaders Nasawara United after 15 matches with a game at hand.
