Fulham will play in the fifth round of the 2025/2026 FA Cup fifth round after a 2-1 win at Wigan courtesy of Rodrigo Muniz’s double.

The Brazilian forward scored twice to help the Cottagers see off a determined Wigan side at the DW Stadium on Saturday evening.

Rodrigo gave the visitors the lead in the 23rd minute with a header from Ryan Sessegnon’s left-footed cross.

However, Wigan got back into the game five minutes into break.

Twenty-seven-year-old English forward Jonny Smith fired a sublime effort from range into goal to draw Wigan level.

Unfortunately, Wigan conceded again as Rodrigo Muniz scored three minutes after the equalizer.

The 23-year-old forward controlled Andreas Pereira’s lofted cross into Wigan’s defense line before slotting the ball into the middle of goal to put Fulham ahead again.

Wigan were dominant in the second half as they had five shots on target while the Cottagers had just two.

The introduction of Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi and Sander Berge helped the Maco Silva’s men controlled and see off the match as it ended 2-1.
