Rodrygo eases pressure on Alonso with timely winner over Alaves.

Brazilian winger, Rodrygo Goes scored the winner over Alaves in Sunday night to ease the tension surrounding the future of Xabi Alonso as manager of Real Madrid.

Los Blancos came into the match after teo consecutive defeats in the La Liga and Champions League.

Despite the goal advantage, Real Madrid locked shaky in defense as the host came close to scoring before the end of the first-half.

Needing a win against Alaves to ease the tension, Kylian Mbappe put the vistors ahead with fantastic indivisual effort.

The French forward beats a couple of Alaves’ defenders before burying the ball into the far end  of the post.

Alaves eventually grabbed the eaualizer after the Real Madrid’s defenders switched off for a moment.

Carlos Vicente beat the offside trap as he powered home a strike from the edge of the box to restore parity.

Alaves lead lasted for a few minutes as Real Madrid retook the lead againg though Rodrygo.

The 25-year-old forward latched on to a square ball form his Brazilian teammate, Vinicius Jr to put Los Blancos ahead in the second half.

Vinicius Jr’s claim for penalty late in the game was denied by the video assistant referee as the crew deedmed the contact on Vinicius Jr.

The win takes Real Madrid within four points off Barcelona at the top of the La Liga.
