The last Super Eagles player expected in camp, Sadiq Umar has finally arrived.
The Real Sociedad striker arrived Super Eagles camp in Abidjan on Wednesday morning.
Super Eagles media officer, Promise Efoghe confirmed the arrival of the striker to Brila.net
“Sadiq Umar joined the team very early this morning around 4 a.m. He was part of breakfast and will rest before joining the gym session later this evening, followed by training.”
Promise Efoghe confirmed that Umar had breakfast with the rest of the team before taking a rest from his trip.
He added that the 27-year-old former Almeria striker will take part of the gym and training session later today.
The Super Eagles as well as the Cheetars of Benin according to Brila.net won’t have the opportunity of training at the Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny.
This is due to the number of Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers the venue will host in the days ahead.
However, the Super Eagles will have their final training seasion elsewhere as they prepare for the match tomorrow.
A press conference ahead of the match is billed for 5 p.m on Wednesday while the final training session will hold two hours later for 90 minutes.
The Super Eagles will look to secure qualification tomorrow with at least a point over Benin Republic who are being coached by former manager, Gernot Rohr.
