Nigerian striker, Umar Sadiq has rejoined full training with Real Sociedad, marking his first session back with the group after weeks of uncertainty surrounding his future at the club.
The 27-year-old had been training on the sidelines during the summer while Sociedad explored transfer options. Several clubs expressed interest, but no deal was completed before the window closed, leaving Sadiq in San Sebastián with squad number 15 officially assigned to him.
On Wednesday at Zubieta, Sadiq trained alongside his teammates in a session also notable for the return of Brais Méndez, who had been recovering from a broken nose. The development shows that Sadiq remains fit and available for selection ahead of this weekend’s clash against Real Betis.

Despite his reintegration, Sadiq’s role under coach Sergio Francisco is still unclear. Reports suggest the club does not see him as a first-choice option, and his long-term future remains uncertain. However, his presence in group training offers him a chance to prove his worth and fight for minutes in the coming weeks.
For now, Sadiq is back with the squad, and with Sociedad competing on multiple fronts this season, the forward could yet play an important role—either as a squad option or as a player aiming to revive his career in La Liga.
