Jadon Sancho’s future currently hangs in the balance after the representative of the Manchester United loanee failed to reach a wage agreement after days of negotiation with Chelsea.
Sancho spent the last six months of the season at Chelsea on loan from Manchester United after he was excused from the team before the sack of Erik Ten Hag in November.
The English winger helped Chelsea win the UEFA Conference League as he scored in the 4-1 demolition of Real Betis on Wednesday last week in Poland.
Sancho enjoyed quite an impressive outing under Enzo Maresca at Chelsea and wants to continue with the club instead of returning to Manchester United.
However, reports suggest that Sancho will return to his parent club after failing to reach an agreement with Chelsea over his wage demands.
Sancho is attracting interest from other clubs in Europe but has a year left on his lucrative deal at Manchester United, which is worth about £300,000 per week.
Having failed to honour the £25 million obligation to buy, Chelsea will pay a £5 million penalty fee to Manchester United for not honoring the obligation.
Jadon Sancho is expected to return to Manchester United at the end of June, but the club has put the winger on the list of players up for sale this summer as they look to raise money for new additions to Ruben Amorim’s squad.
