Jannik Sinner came from two sets down to win his first ever Grand Slam title as he defeated Dannil Medvedev 3:6, 3:6, 6:4,6:4,6:3 in the final of the Australian Open.

The world number four Sinner started sluggishly in the first two sets as he lost his serve in each set. He made a lot of unforced errors and didn’t look like the same player that defeated Djokovic in the semi finals. Medvedev was in top of his game and took the first two set with the same score 6:3, 6:3

Sinner came back in the third set all guns blazing. Both players held their serve up until the tenth game before the Italian broke Medvedev to clinch the set 6:4. Sinner continued in the same fashion as he held his serve till the ninth game were he broke the Russian and served to win the fourth to bring the tie to 2:2.

The final was more one sided as Sinner got into his groove as he wore out Medvedev with his hard hitting style and getting many winners. He broke the world number three twice and won the first Grand Slam of the year by hitting a forehand winners shot.
