Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has condemned the actions of his Fenerbahçe counterpart, José Mourinho, following a heated incident during their Turkish Cup quarter-final match.
The controversy erupted when Mourinho pinched Buruk’s nose, causing him to collapse onto the pitch.
The incident occurred after Galatasaray secured a 2-1 victory over Fenerbahçe, thanks to two goals from Victor Osimhen. Mourinho’s frustration was evident, but Buruk felt his behavior was unacceptable.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Buruk addressed the incident, stating,
“There was nothing between me and Mourinho. He pinched my nose from behind. There was a slight scratch.”
Buruk expressed his disappointment with Mourinho’s actions, saying, “Of course, it wasn’t a very nice or elegant thing to do. We expect managers to behave more appropriately in such situations.”
While Buruk chose not to escalate the issue, he emphasized that Mourinho’s behavior was not befitting of a manager.
“I won’t exaggerate this issue, but it wasn’t a classy move,” Buruk concluded.
