Slot confirms two Liverpool stars set to miss Aston Villa’s visit

Under-fire Liverpool manager, Arne Slot, has confirmed that Alexander Isak and Curtis Jones will be unavailable this weekend as the Reds welcome Aston Villa to Anfield.

The Dutch manager confirmed the development while addressing the media ahead of the fixture on Saturday.

“Isak and Curtis Jones will 99% be out of the squad this weekend”.

Alexander Isak is nursing a groin injury he suffered in Liverpool’s only win in their last six matches across all competitions – the 5-1 annihilation of Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League last week.

Curtis Jones will miss the fixture after he was forced off in the loss away at Brentford on Sunday after picking up what looks like a muscular injury.

On Ryan Gravenberch, Slot expressed a strong possibility that the Dutch midfielder could make a return this weekend as he trained with the team in preparation for the match.
