Spanish Super Cup: 3 reasons Real Madrid will defeat Barcelona

The latest installment of El Clasico is set to take place on Sunday evening, as Real Madrid and Barcelona clash in the 2025 Spanish Super Cup final at King Abdullah Sports City.

Real Madrid are seeking to claim their 14th Supercopa title, which would draw them level with their arch-rivals Barcelona.

Here are three reasons why Real Madrid will emerge victorious.

1. Ancelotti’s men are in better form

Real Madrid are currently on a five-game winning streak, including three victories this year. After a tough start to the season, they have shown significant signs of improvement, with star players starting to get back into the grove.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have fallen off the rails in recent weeks, and while they can still put on a show, their recent form has been inconsistent.

2. Madrid have the better attack

With the likes of Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe, and Rodrygo fit and firing, Real Madrid’s attacking will likely prove too much for Barcelona’s defense.

Bellingham is back to his last season form and Vinicius remains the most dangerous player on the planet.

3. Motivation and Revenge

Real Madrid will be seeking revenge for their 4-0 defeat to Barcelona at the Bernabeu in October.

This added motivation, combined with their excellent run of form over the past month should fill them with confidence heading into this one.
