Sunday’s Bundlesliga fixtures ended in home fixtures for Stuttgart, Eintracht Frankfurt and Freiburg as the players head into the final international break for the year.
Eintracht Frankfurt grabbed a win a nd a clean sheet while the two others secured narrow victories in front of their respective home fans.
Frieburg extended their unbeaten run to four matches in all competitions with a 2-1 win over St. Pauli at the Europa-Park Stadion.
Yuito Suzuki and Maximillian Eggestein scored in each half of the match to give the host a two-goal lead while Louis Oppie reduces the margin in the 69th minute.
However, the host prevented an equalizer as the match ended 2-1.
Stuttgart came from behind on two occasions to secure a hard-fought win over Augsburg.
German forward Denis Undav bagged a brace including the winner as the home side picked up a 3-2 win over the vistsors.
In the final game of the day, Japanese midfielder, Ritsu Doan scored the only goal as Eintracht Frankfurt picked maximum points over Mainz.
Despite dropping points for the first time this season, Bayern Munich remain on top of the league with 28 points from 10 matches.
Stuttgart’s win ensured they remain in fourth with 21 points, Eintracht Frankfurt are now seventh with 17 points while Frieburg move into the top half with 13 points.
