Lamine Yamal’s agent Jorge Mendes has confirmed to the media that Lamine Yamal will sign a contract extension at Barcelona which will see him remain at the club until 2030.
Jorge Mendes met with Barcelona’s hierarchy including Sporting Director Deco, over dinner in Lisbon on Tuesday night to discuss the future of the 17-year-old winger.
He revealed to newsmen that he and the board only discussed on Lamine Yamal‘s contract and nothing more during the meeting.
“We’ve only talked about Lamine, and everything’s fine. He’s going to renew, he’s going to renew,”
Lamine Yamal’s current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2026 and Barcelona appear to make significant progress in keeping their most precious asset at the club for a long time.
Yamal is earning a minimum salary as a member of Barcelona’s senior squad. However, his performance-related bonuses have exceeded his fixed wages.
The forward has been immense for Hansi Flick’s side with 11 goals and 13 assists in 35 appearances for the club.
His new contract is expected to see him earn double of his current salary but his development and contribution to the club could see him earn even more.
