The Nigerian Super Eagles will feature in Group C at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) scheduled for Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
The 2025 AFCON draw was finalized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Monday, January 27, in the Mohammed V National Theatre in Rabat, Morocco.
Former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo played a significant role as a draw assistant and analyst for the 2025 AFCON group selection.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical and Development Committee chairman, Sharif Inuwa, and the team’s new head coach, Éric Chelle, represented Nigeria in the 2025 AFCON draw.
Before the draw, the Super Eagles of Nigeria, regarded as the fifth-best team in Africa, were grouped with other strong teams in Pot 1.
