Super Falcons of Nigeria stars Asisat Oshoala scores the winning penalty for Bay FC against Seattle Reign while Rinsola Babajide scores penalty for Costa Adeje Tenerife against Real Madrid.

Super Falcons of Nigeria star Asisat Oshoala was the hero for Bay FC in an NWSL fixture away against Seattle Reign.

At Lumen Field 9,051 fans were in attendance as Oshoala’s Bay FC took on the home side Seattle Reign FC.

With early possession of the ball and scoring opportunities created, the Reign were the dominant side to start the game.

In the 27th minute, Oshoala netted her penalty into the lower left corner after a foul was committed in the box, giving Bay FC the lead.

After the win, Bay FC an expansion team are in seventh place in the NWSL tied with Portland with 28 points.

Rinsola Babajide scores penalty for Costa Adeje Tenerife against Real Madrid

Super Falcons of Nigeria star Rinsola Babajide returned to action for Costa Adeje Tenerife as they suffered a 1-4 home loss to Real Madrid.

Real Madrid responded to Barcelona beating Granada 10-1 with a dominant showing against the Canary Island team that featured two Super Falcons stars Babajide and Monday Gift.

Demarks Caroline Moller and Colombia’s Linda Caicedo scored two give Real Madrid a two-goal cushion away from home.

A penalty was awarded to Costa Adeje Tenerife and Babajide stepped up to score in the 35th minute as Real Madrid conceded for the first time this season.

Moller got her second of the game just before the halftime break while Sweden star Filippa Angeldal put the game away for Madrid with their fourth goal to seal the win.

Babajide and Costa Adeje Tenerife return to action against Real Betis on Sunday, October 8, 2024.
