Super Falcons: Rasheedat Ajibade starts new season with as for Atletico Madrid

In Atletico Madrid's season opener against Granada, Super Falcons star Rasheedat Ajibade bagged an assist.

Super Falcons of Nigeria star Rasheedat Ajibade returning to action in the Spanish Primera División de la Liga de Fútbol Femenino.

Ajibade who plays for Atletico Madrid helped her side start their campaign with a 2-0 victory against Granada.

To start their season opener, Ajibade was named to the starting line-up by Head Coach Óscar Fernández.

In Atletico Madrid's season opener against Granada, Super Falcons star Rasheedat Ajibade bagged an assist.

It took Ajibade just 13 minutes into the game to make an impact for Atletico Madrid.

The Nigerian star after some fine work was able to find Giovana Queiroz to put Atletico Madrid in front.

That would be the only goal at the halftime break as Atletico Madrid maintained their lead.

In the second half, Atletico Madrid continued to dominate their opponents and received a boost when Granada were reduced to ten players following a red card to Isabel Alvarez Tenorio.

In Atletico Madrid's season opener against Granada, Super Falcons star Rasheedat Ajibade bagged an assist.

In the 84th minute, Ajibade was substituted for Sheila Guijarro.

Guijarro would add the second goal for Atletico Madrid assisted by Rosa Otermín.

The victory means that Atletico Madrid join rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona starting the season with victories.

Ajibade is expected to return to action when Atletico Madrid takes on Deportivo in their next league match scheduled for Sunday, September 15, 2024.
