Super Falcons head coach Justin Madugu has unveiled a 25-player squad for Nigeria’s upcoming February/March international friendlies against Cameroon in Yaoundé.

The double-header friendly game forms part of the team’s early preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations after the Four-Nations tournament was cancelled, with a blend of established stars and emerging talents earning selection.

Four goalkeepers made the list, headlined by first-choice shot stopper Chiamaka Nnadozie, alongside Comfort Erhabor, Fatima Oloko, and Anderline Mgbechi.

In defence, Madugu retained a core of experienced campaigners, including Osinachi Ohale and Ashleigh Plumptre, while also calling up Shukurat Oladipo, Michelle Alozie, Glory Ogbonna, Oluwatosin Demehin, Sikiratu Isah, and Chidinma Okeke.

The midfield unit features a mix of creativity and steel, with Halimatu Ayinde, Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, Deborah Abiodun, Jennifer Echegini, Christy Ucheibe, and Precious Christopher included.

Up front, captain Rasheedat Ajibade leads the attacking options, joined by Chinwendu Ihezuo, Gift Monday, Joy Omewa, Esther Okoronkwo, Folashade Ijamilusi, and Omorinsola Babajide.

The Super Falcons fixtures against the Cameroon women’s national team which will take place in Yaoundé on the 28th of February and 6th of March 2026  are expected to provide a competitive test for the Falcons, as Madugu continues to assess combinations and tactical adjustments ahead of future tournaments.

The matches will also offer opportunities for newer faces to stake claims for regular roles within the squad, particularly as Nigeria builds toward continental competition.

Nigeria and Cameroon share a long-standing rivalry in women’s football, adding further significance to the encounters despite their friendly status.

With preparations now underway, attention will turn to how the Falcons adapt and perform as the technical crew fine-tunes the squad’s structure and depth.
