Thomas Tuchel has extended his contract with the England National Football Team until after the Euros of 2028.
The former Chelsea manager’s current contact is expected to end after the 2026 World Cup.
The German’s main backroom team; Anthony Barry, Henrique Hilario, Nico Mayer and James Melbourne – have also agreed extensions through to the end of Euro 2028.

During the contract extension, Thomas Tuchel noted that he is happy extending his contract with the England National team and also added that he has enjoyed working with the three-lions of England.

It is no secret to anyone that I have loved every minute so far of working with my players and coaches, and I cannot wait to lead them to the World Cup.

Tuchel, took charge of the England Men’s National football team in January 2025 and ensured that England were unbeaten throughout their eight World Cup qualifying matches and conceded zero goals.
The German Tactician only lost one game since he took charge of England and that came during an international friendly against Senegal in June 2025.
The English FA CEO Mark Bullingham said that Tuchel is arguable the best manager in the world right now and has more guarantee of bringing an international success to England during the World Cups
