Super Falcons ‘ first-choice goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has successfully defended her award as the best women’s goalkeeper on the continent.
Chiamaka Nnadozie won the Best Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year for the third consecutive year at the 2025 CAF Awards on Wednesday evening in Rabat.
She capped a fantastic year for club and country, helping her former club Paris FC qualify for the Women’s UEFA Champions League for the first time.
Nnadozie was also instrumental in between the sticks as the Super Falcons beat host Morocco to win a record 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in July.
The 24-year-old bagged the best goalkeeper and also made it to the team of the tournament alongside Esther Okotonkwo, MVP Rasheedat Ajibade, and Michelle Alozie
On receiving the award, Nnadizie thanked the Nigeria Football Federation hierarchy, her coaches, teammates, club, and country for their support in her career.
Chiamaka Nnadozie becomes the first goalkeeper to win the prize three times in a row, exerting her dominance as the best goalkeeper in Africa and one of the best in the World as she was recently nominated in the same category at this year’s Ballon d’Or ceremony, where she finished fourth.
