Organisers of the ongoing African Athletics Championship in Ghana played Nigeria’s old national anthem during the medal ceremony of Tobi Amusan’s 100m Hurdle victory on Wednesday.

Tobi Amusan continued her dominance on the continent as she clocked 12.83 seconds to finish ahead of the rest in the event’s final held on Wednesday at the University of Ghana in Accra.

The triumph is her third after she emerged victorious in Asaba in 2018 and defended her medal four years later in Mauritius, making her the overwhelming favorite to claim gold heading into the championship.
