A popular Turkish journalist, Serhat Ulureren believes Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is not worth the hype he has been getting.

He added that Osimhen is not worth his current market value as the striker continues to be linked with a move away from Galatasaray/Napoli.

Serhat added that the striker when compared to Mauri Icardi who is injured, falls short as the Argentine striker is a better striker than the 26-year-old.

Although, Serhat said Osimhen works hard to wear out defenders and create confusion in the box, he doesn’t pass as a striker but a forward.

“Victor Osimhen is overrated in my opinion. He is never a €50-60 million striker. He is a good centre forward but not a good striker.”

“Osimhen cannot meet Galatasaray’s needs as much as Mauro Icardi. He wears down the opposition defence, creates confusion, creates space for his teammates, but he is not a player worth that money.

“Let him go to the Premier League, play for Manchester United, he will be disgraced.”

Victor Osimhen has been linked to a move to Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain as well in the current winter transfer window.

Osimhen is currently on loan to Galatasaray and has been arguably the best player since his arrival last summer.

The striker has scored thirteen goals and provided six assists in 17 appearances for the reigning Turkish champions.

Napoli reportedly values Osimhen at approximately €75 million according to the release clause set by the club.
