Barcelona winger Raphinha has matched Cristiano Ronaldo’s Champions League record for the most goal involvements in a single campaign after a late goal against Inter Milan.
The Brazilian thought his 87th-minute strike had secured a 3-2 victory for Barcelona, who had battled back from a two-goal deficit.
However, Inter equalized through Francesco Acerbi in the 90th minute and clinched a 4-3 win in extra time with Davide Frattesi’s decisive goal.

Raphinha’s standout performance leaves him with 21 goal contributions (goals and assists) in the 2024–25 Champions League.
This matches Ronaldo’s benchmark of 17 goals and four assists set during Real Madrid’s 2013–14 title-winning campaign, which culminated in a 4-1 thrashing of Atletico Madrid to claim ‘La Decima.’
Despite the record, Raphinha’s efforts couldn’t prevent Barcelona’s heartbreaking semi-final exit. The Brazilian remains the frontrunner for the Ballon d’Or.
