Victor Olatunji scored his second Champions League goal on Wednesday night in his team’s 2-1 home loss to Brest.

Olatunji pounced on a loose ball in the box to give Sparta Prague a late consolation as they fell to second defeat of the competition.

The Nigerian striker has been in decent form this season as he continues to impress in this season.

Recall that Victor Olatunji made history as the first Nigerian player yo score and assist on his Champions League debut.

Olatunji’s goal contribution led to Sparta Prague’s 3-0 over Salzburg on the opening night of the Champions League this season.

However, the fortunes of his club has dwindled this then with a heavy loss at Manchester City, a draw away at Stuttgart and the latest – a home loss to Brest.

Edimilson Fernandes’ strike from the middle of the box on the 37th minute gave the away side the lead in the first half.

Sparta Prague were under the siege for most part of the game as they struggled to contain Brest who dominated the game for large spells.

Kaan Kairinen made things worse for the Czech champions as put a pass from one of Brest attacking players into his net.

The match ended in a 2-1 loss for Sparta Prague and it pushes them off the playoffs spot of the league table.

Sparta Prague are 26th on the log after 4 matches where they have just a win, two losses and a draw.
