Victor Osimhen tamed, Batshauyi shines in Galatasaray slim win over Bodrumspor

Victor Osimhen had an average performance for Galatasaray as the champions secured a narrow win at Bodrumspor.

The Super Eagles striker, although made efforts to score but had limited clear goal-scoring opportunities in the match.

The 25-year-old striker came very close to getting his 7th league goal of the season but his shot lacked direction as Nogueira Sousa made a comfortable save.

The encounter was pretty one-sided as the hike side defended deep as they conceded possession to the reigning champions.

Despite having several shots on target, Galatasaray only converted one which sealed the victory.

Michy Batshuayi scored his 4th league goal of the season nine minutes after into the second half.

The Belgian striker rose above everyone in the box to meet Dries Mertens cross with a brilliant header into the back of the net.

Nogueira Sousa stopped Hakim Ziyech’s shot on goal with a sublime save on the 73rd minute to deny the Moroccan forward his first goal of the season.

The match ended 1-0 as the champions maintain their unbeaten start to the seaon.
