Morocco’s head coach Jorge Vilda insists his Atlas Lionesses are ready to face Nigeria’s Super Falcons without fear in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final.
The match will take place at Rabat’s Olympic Stadium on Saturday, with Morocco aiming to claim their first-ever WAFCON title.

Nigeria, the tournament’s most successful team with nine titles, have been dominant, scoring 11 goals and conceding just one in the 2024 finals, led by coach Justine Madugu and some of Africa’s top stars. Despite Nigeria’s impressive record and form, Vilda remains confident.
Speaking at a press conference in Rabat on Friday, he said: “Nigeria have shown a lot of improvement through the tournament and overcome some very difficult teams, but we are going to face them without any inferiority complex.”
Morocco’s fearless approach and home advantage could make this a tight contest as they challenge Nigeria’s historic dominance.
