Enzo Maresca says Joao Felix’s absence has not left a void in his team. The former Atletico Madrid forward left on loan to AC Milan before the January transfer window closed.
He says the 25-year-old is happy where he is and the club is also delighted the Portuguese forward is satisfied with the move.
“We don’t miss João Félix. João is happy in Milan and we are happy that João is happy there.”
Felis scored seven goals and an assist in 19 matches for the Blues this season before joining AC Milan.
Joao Felix scored his first goal for AC Milan in the 3-1 victory over AS Roma in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday.
He also played for 79 minutes in AC Milan’s 2-0 win away at Empoli on Saturday night as the Rossoneri keep their sight on securing a European slot this season.
Meanwhile, Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea suffered another setback this season as they got knocked out of the FA Cup after losing to Brighton on Saturday night at the American Express Stadium.
