Flying Eagles goalkeeper Ebenezer Harcourt has confidently asserted that South Africa will not stand in the way of Nigeria securing a spot in the final of the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

The seven-time champions are set to clash with Amajita in a highly anticipated semi-final encounter at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia on Thursday.
This will mark the fourth time Nigeria and South Africa have faced each other at the U-20 AFCON finals, with both nations having recorded one victory apiece, and one game ending in a draw, setting the stage for another potentially tight contest.
“We were talking about the ticket to the World Cup before the start of the competition, now we have that,” Harcourt told the team’s media officer, Shariff Abdallah, via Complete Sports.
“Now, the main target is the trophy. I’m very sure we will win the trophy. We will prepare well for the game against South Africa.”
