Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers felt his team deserved more from their UEFA Europa League clash with Manchester United.
Despite the Nigerian scoring a late equaliser, Rangers ultimately lost 2-1, with Bruno Fernandes sealing all three points for Amorim’s team.
Dessers, who was introduced in the 70th minute, scored a superb goal two minutes from time to level the score.
Reflecting on the match, Dessers expressed his disappointment at the outcome.
“It is difficult to take at the end, especially because of the rollercoaster of emotions at the end,” he told the club’s official website.
“At first, you feel that you are going to walk away with a point from Old Trafford, and then you let it slip, and that hurts.”
Despite the defeat, the 30-year-old took pride in his team’s performance.
“I think we can be very proud of the performance, to come here, with a team with a few injuries before the game, and then we picked up some more during the game.”
