Arsène Wenger paid a surprise visit to Manchester City’s training session in Orlando, Florida, where the Premier League champions are currently preparing for their upcoming FIFA Club World Cup Round of 16 clash against Al Hilal.
The legendary former Arsenal manager, who now serves as FIFA’s Chief of Global Football Development, spent time observing training and held warm exchanges with City manager Pep Guardiola and members of the coaching staff.
Wenger, known for revolutionising English football during his time at Arsenal, appeared relaxed as he watched the high-intensity drills.
He was seen sharing a conversation with Guardiola and reconnecting with former Arsenal defender Kolo Touré, who is part of City’s extended staff in the United States. Several City players, including John Stones, Jeremy Doku, Nathan Aké and Rayan Cherki, were involved in the lively session under the Florida sun.
City’s players and coaches welcomed the visit, which not only served as a reunion between two of football’s greatest tactical minds but also offered a timely boost ahead of their crucial knockout fixture.
