Career
Seyi Olofinjana started his football career in the Nigeria Premier Football League with Crown FC of Ogbomoso before moving to Kwara United after a brief stint. Seyi Olofinjana spent four years at Kwara United, combining school and academics. Olofinjana focused squarely on football after his University degree and moved to a Norwegian side, Brann, for a season.

His impressive outing at the club attracted a couple of clubs, but Olofinjana settled for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Championship where he did quite well for the Midlands club.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Olofinjana joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in July 2004 for £1.7 million. He had successful first season at the club as he featured in 45 games scoring fives goals.
Unfortunately, his second season at the club was marred by a back injury as he missed the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt. Seyi Olofinjana came back strong in the third season finishing as the club’s league top scorer.

Stoke City
Following Wolverhampton Wanderers failure to gain promotion to the Premier League, Seyi Olofinjana joined newly-promoted Stoke City on a four-year deal worth £3 million. Olofinjana scored his first goal for the club in a 2-1 win over Everton in September 2008.
Olofinjana only made 21 appearances for The Potters and was put up for sale at the end of the season. Monaco agreed £2.5 million fee for the midfielder but negotiations broke down which gave Hull City the opportunity to sign him for the same price he was bought for.

He scored his first goal for Hull City against Stoke, his former side in a 2-1 win in November 2009. Unfortunately, Hull City got relegated and the midfielder was loaned to Cardiff City where he reunited with his former manager Dave Jones.
Olofinjana made 42 appearances with the Welsh club helping them reach the playoffs as they lost to Reading. The midfielder returned to Hull City for the 2011-2012 season but struggled with a knee injury as he made just five appearances.
Seyi Olofinjana featured for Sheffield Wednesday after leaving Hull City but his struggles with injuries continued in the latter stages of his career.
