AFCON 2025
Josephine Mathias is one of the few Super Falcons players who has recently gained the limelight in Nigerian football. She is a 25-year-old midfielder currently plying her trade for NWFL side Nassarawa Amazons.
In 2018, she travelled to Turkey and joined topflight side Trabzon Idmanocagi. While in Turkey, she played 6 times for the club, but left the next year after the club got relegated.
Josephine returned to Nigeria and joined Rivers Angels on her return. After that she moved again to Nassarawa Amazons, and has been there for a while.
Internationally, Josephine has featured for the Falcons, being a part of the 2020 CAF Olympics qualifiers, and also recently for the Falcons.
She definitely will be one to watch for the future of Nigerian football.
