Manchester United are willing to sell one of its most successful academy graduate in recent times Marcus Rashford next summer.
According to reports, the Red Devils are strongly considering the option of selling the 27-year-old forward.
The club hierarchy believes that the sale of Marcus Rashford who has one of the highest wages in the club would give the Red Devils the leverage to maneuver the transfer market next summer.
The sale of Rashford could see the club be in tandem with the financial fair play rule.
While Marcus Rashford’s form under new manager Ruben Amorim is appreciated by the club, a sale in the summer would be beneficial to it seems.
Rashford broke into the Manchester United team under former manager Luis Van Gaal who gave him his debut in an Europa League fixture.
The English international scored twice in Manchester United’s 5-1 win over Midtjylland on 25 February 2016.
He went on to make his Premier League debut three days later and scored twice again and provided an assist in the victory over Arsenal at Old Trafford.
Marcus Rashford has since then become an integral part of Manchester United under several managers including Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, Erik Ten Hag and Ruben Amorim.
However, Rashford’s performances over the last few months has significantly dropped.
His off and on the pitch activities has also attracted media scrutiny over the given period of time.
The wide forward’s most memorable season in the colors of the Red Devils was in the 2022/2023 season where he scored 17 goals and 5 assists in the league performing well in big games.
His performances in the 2023/2023 season earned him the PFA Vertu Motors Premier League Fans’ Player of the Year.
During the Europa League run that season, Rashford scores 6 goals and an asists in 9 matches.
Marcus Rashford remains of the finest academy products of the club in recent years. He has 138 goals and 64 appearances in 425 appearances to his name.
He also has two FA Cup titles, two EFL Cup titles and a Europa League trophy during his 10-year stint with the senior team of Manchester United.
