Liverpool manager Arne Slot has explained the reason his side lost to Crystal Palace in the FA Community Shield.
The Reds boss acknowledged that his team is attacking with greater effectiveness compared to last season, though they are also letting in more goals.

Slot shared these thoughts with reporters following their loss to Crystal Palace in Sunday’s Community Shield match, which took place at Wembley.
The Reds initially went ahead thanks to a goal from debutant Hugo Ekitike, but Jean-Philippe Mateta leveled the score with a penalty kick.
Jeremie Frimpong also netted on his first competitive outing for Liverpool, yet Ismaila Sarr’s late strike in the second half tied the game, leading to a penalty shootout defeat.
“We created more chances against a team that is so compact and difficult to break down,” Slot said.
“But on the other hand, we conceded two goals, which we did against [Athletic Club]. And we conceded a couple more against Milan. That is something we need to address and improve significantly moving forward,” he concluded.
