Wilfred Ndidi’s Leicester City has officially been relegated from the Premier League and this will be the second time the Super Eagles midfielder is experiencing such a feat with the 2016 champions.
However, he might not return to the English Championship with the Foxes, considering the release clause inserted in his contract with the club.
Reports indicate that the Ndidi has a release clause of just £9m, which makes him affordable for any of the mid-table teams in the league or any of the newly-promoted teams.
The 28-year-old midfielder had quite an underwhelming season with the Foxes this season which is also a reflection of the club’s performance as well.
However, the Super Eagles midfielder comes in handy with a decent amount of experience in the league and will be willing to offer his services to any club interested in him.
Wilfred Ndidi played a significant role in Leicester City’s FA triumph in 2021 and their return to the Premier League this season under current Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca.
